1. About us
Swainson Gas Services Ltd (company number 06431538) is a Gas Safe registered engineering business (registration #9663) based at 76 Cavendish Road, Hazel Grove, Stockport SK7 6JH. References to "we", "us" and "our" mean Swainson Gas Services Ltd.
2. Scope of work
We carry out domestic gas, boiler, heating and gas fire work under Gas Safe Register rules. Any work carried out will be described on your quotation or invoice. We reserve the right to decline work we consider unsafe, out of scope, or outside our normal service area.
3. Quotes & pricing
Advertised prices, including "basic boiler service from £98 inc. VAT", "full boiler service £155 + parts inc. VAT", "call-out & diagnostic £98 inc. VAT", "landlord CP12 from £110 inc. VAT" and the "maintenance contract at £208 / year inc. VAT", are subject to job specifics and site conditions. Written quotations are valid for 30 days. Additional parts or labour required to complete a job safely will be discussed and agreed before proceeding.
4. Payment
Payment is due on completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept payment by card via a card terminal on site. Maintenance contract fees are payable annually in advance.
5. Workmanship guarantee
All work is covered by a 12-month workmanship guarantee from the date of completion. This guarantee covers our labour on the specific work carried out. Manufacturer warranties on parts are provided separately by the manufacturer and their duration varies.
The guarantee does not cover: faults caused by third-party interference after our visit, damage from misuse, freezing damage where insufficient frost protection has been maintained by the customer, or pre-existing faults in parts of the system we were not asked to inspect.
6. Maintenance contract
The Swainson maintenance contract runs for 12 months from the date of payment and renews annually. It includes one annual service, parts and labour on your boiler and controls, and radiator valve coverage, subject to the boiler being in serviceable condition at the start of the contract. 7. Cancellations
You may cancel a booked appointment at no charge with reasonable notice. For consumer contracts entered into off-premises, statutory cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 apply.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, our total liability in relation to any job is limited to the price paid for that job.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
